Parshablog noticed similarities in the stories of Noah and Lot. Both of them survived a destruction, got drunk afterward and committed carnal sins. He comments that he had no deep thoughts to offer on the matter. I commented that maybe these stories come to teach us that solving problems through destructive means (whether globally applied or locally applied and even if justly deserved) invariably leads to more problems than it solves.
